Step In The Right Direction
everything from pop life to mom life
hubby and I have had our shares of enjoyment throughout our careers. Now more than ever has been such a journey to see how we can put this enjoyment together. Gods been doing so many things working on us both spiritually & physically(some more than others🤰🏽)!!
After Anora I promised Luke we would have another baby because he didn't want her growing up alone. Sure enough the timing couldn't have been more great.
So here's a little video Luke put together of how we got the news. Well how He and his show cast found out! Read more and check the clip!
My husband and I have been through a lot in our short couple of years together. We've traveled, explored, and now are really discovering more about us. That being said we decided to start something fun. Both being creatives and in this entertainment industry we thought we could share a little bit of us to well, everyone. It's so much fun to think that I get to do this with my partner, and to just be us. There is so much going on in our life that hopefully we will be able to bring some light to this world. Excited to share with you all. Jesus, Love, Light, & LOVE!
Oh Breastfeeding.. You love and you hate.
This blog post has been long over due but baby girl is officially four weeks and I think I've officially got a hang of things.
You want the best for your baby but no one said that giving and having the best comes easy. Breastfeeding can be extremely difficult, especially at the beginning. The first two weeks were the hardest for me. From the exhaustion to the painful breasts. The key to breastfeeding and breast pumping is you must push through the pain. Im so thankful that my baby is great at latching on.. but my booby-milk experience hasn't been the easiest. I've experienced times where I felt that I needed to produce more milk which was super fustrating. Realizing when I started taking better care my nutritional needs and relaxing my milk came flooding in lol. Here's some good info for moms if you want some insight on breastfeeding. There's tons of benefits! Breastfeeding Tips
Now lets talk breast pump.
Seems very scary the first time you pump, but no fear because the pump is your friend. It all give your boobies a break and lets daddy get a bottle for feeding time. Which means mommy gets Sleep, or everything else thats on our lovely list.
The pump that I currently use is the Spectra Baby USA. You can check out there amazing products here! SPECTRA
Not only do I LOOOVEEE the aesthetics ( I got the blinged out one ) and it goes so well with her nursery but I enjoyed pumping with no pain. The different cycles and massage cycle helped when first time pumping. Definitely recommend this pump to those who want a pump that is sensitive to the breast.
Plus its the cutest!
Question: Any moms out there had any trouble breastfeeding? What were your tips and tricks? or any funny/crazy mommy booby machine stories?!
Baby Shower! Every momma to be is excited about this special day. I know I was.. I had a beautiful navy dress.. my hair was prepped and then the unexpected happened.
First off I have to say to all the moms out there... 👏🏻👏🏼👏🏽👏🏾👏🏿 Bravo! You are the real MVPs. Hands go out to you lovely ladies. I am proud to be in this prestigious club!
I was a little afraid of introducing Leila (our puppy) to Anora. We rescued Leila when she was only 2 1/2 Months old. So I guess you could say she was our first baby. The Shelter told us she was rescued from a fire that was in a run down house. Luke immediately loved her. I on the other hand didn't want a bigger dog, but trusting my husband on how much fun we could have with a bigger dog I said let's go for it. My love grew instantly when we brought her home with us that night. The runyon canyon hikes made me really understand how fun it is to really have a companion. She outran us by a mile.
Now her personality is unreal, she's sweet and loving but wants to be bold when someone comes knocking on the door. Plus she has some of the best neck chewy (the soft flappy skin/fur).
I mean I don't really need to explain too much about this moment. Just watch and enjoy!
